ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comments! Yes, the background is painted by hand- it's gouache on rice paper. I'm planning to do a few more 'complete' pages before I make a dummy to submit to publishers- the problem is, I've already grown dissatisfied with several that I've already done and want to re-do them! This is taking a while...Sooner or later, though! :)
